A flavour cavalcade of matchstick, citrus, white peach and grapefruit alongside a subtle toasty, nutty aspect from the sublime oak regime. Located on the right bank of the river Serein - as with the Grand Crus - the Montée de Tonnerre is certainly the most prestigious and well-renowned of all the Chablis Premiers Crus. The Domaine grows fruit on a total surface area of four hectares, (9.8 acres) which were planted in 1974. Wine bottled at the Louis Michel winery.

Sourced and grown in the Adelaide Hills, this is a fine example of how good Chardonnay from this region can be. This is a blend of 3 different cultivars of the Chardonnay grape. Bunch pressed and in part wild fermented. Partial malolactic fermentation imparts further complexity. A beautifully textured and complex wine.
