Shiraz from Orange is quite unique in style compared to most other regions in Australia and is more reminiscent of the Northern Rhone, France. The Idiot Shiraz is a young wine that has a lovely colour deep red with some purple hues. The aroma is spicy, lifted and intense. There is an appealing liquorice character to the intense fruit aromas. Bright full fruit flavours in a medium-bodied package; classic cool area shiraz some spice integrated with red fruits; lovely soft tannins and finish.
Logan Ridge Of Tears Shiraz
The Ridge of Tears wines range is homage to Peter Logan's late ancestors. Ridge of Tears Mudgee Shiraz is a deep dark red coloured wine. The complex aroma of this dry red wine mixes florals, dark cherries, mulberries and plums, that further fuse with warm spices, liquorice and a little touch of fresh earth. The medium to full bodied palate displays plum, berry and spice flavours with a mineral core and grainy tannins. The palate presents a soft texture, before leading to a long finish. The wine tastes good with venison, grilled or roast beef, and strong hard cheeses especially Cheddar.

The wine displays a strong bouquet of blackberry and earth, with a soft but pronounced tannin structure. The hand-picked fruit was fermented in small open fermenters, and hand plunged several times daily. 2014 was an excellent vintage, and the perfect opportunity to start a flagship red. Beautiful winter rain, set us up with excellent vineyard balance. We had a great vintage, with warm conditions allowing perfect ripening across all varieties. A soft but pronounced tannin structure. The extensive vineyard is Certified Organic, and adopts natural, sustainable, farming practices to ensure vigorous growth of the grapevines. This wine is mid-weighted, displaying layers of mixed red fruits and spicy notes. The tannins are gentle and interwoven with subtle French oak characters. A vibrant wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 3-5 years.

The Bunnamagoo Estate Cabernet Shiraz MerlotExhibiting dark chocolate, raspberry and mocha characters with a mid-palate freshness without the heavy tannic weight of traditional Mudgee. The wine is silky in texture with great persistence and it finshes with gentle vanillin oak characters. It will benefit from careful cellaring in the short to medium term.The grapes destined for the Bunnamagoo labels are sourced from the Bunnamagoo Estate, a historic property near Rockley, and from the Eurunderee vineyard not far from Mudgee.

From the treasured home block at Griffin Road, planted in 1996, and selected local growers. Opulent Cabernet from a warm vintage. Ripe, yet elegant fruit flavours are complemented by typical cedar, cassis and spice. Tannins are well balanced with the fine textured palate; a wine which will age gracefully for up to ten years.
Robert Stein Reserve Mudgee Shiraz
This Reserve Shiraz is a true expression of our 1976 Block N, planted by our family in 1976. A deep ruby red hue leads to aromas of glazed cherry and earth notes. the palate is medium bodied but with good concentration of black fruits, savoury tannins and great length. This Reserve Shiraz would benefit from cellaring and we recommend decanting before serving.
