Intense garnet red colour, the nose features fragrant aromas of cassis and blackberry with hints of vanilla. With the acid vein that sustains, the tannin that weaves and the pulp of fruit that everything harmoniously wraps and contains, the mouthfeel is majestic with notes of cherries, clove, licorice, sweet tannins and long finish. Great companion for game, roasted red meats, mature cheeses and salami. Very suitable also as an after dinner drink.

On the palate we find the same aromas of the nose, high acidity and a fine, elegant but long lasting bubbles. Food pairing - A versatile and easily combinable bubbles. The Vietti family has been producing wine in Castiglione Falletto in the heart of Le Langhe in Piedmont for five generations, with 33 estate vineyards located across all 11 communes designated for the cultivation and production of Barolo, plus Roero for Arneis and Agliano Asti for Barbera and Moscato. In 2016 Vietti was purchased by the American Krause family, however current generation winemaker Luca Currado-Vietti continues to direct the Vietti Estate meticulously, together with his wife Elena Penna-Currado, to produce some of the finest and most representative wines of Le Langhe.

Established in 1858 by the first king of Italy, Fontanafredda is now the single largest contiguous wine estete in the Langhe region, with a fierce commitment to organic viticulture as well as woodland regeneration. The Platinum label represents the unique tradition of the Estate and more than 160 years of history. The Nebbiolo grapes used to produce this Barolo are grown on claily soils very rich in calcareous marl. The wine ages for 2years in large Slavonian and French oak casks. An attractive ruby-red colour with garnet highlights. Clean, full and intense aromas with the wine's typical traces of dried flowers, crushed leaves and underbrush. There is plenty of structure, with robust tannins supported by fleshy red fruits, liquorice, and subtle mocha notes Pair with rich red meats, game and mature cheese.

Cantina Vallebelbo is located in Piemonte, in the small village of Santo Stefano Belbo, between the provinces of Cuneo and Asti. The name of the winery is inspired by the river Belbo that runs through the valley. Over the centuries, the river has shaped the surrounding hills, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. Very bright crimson red color, with intense aromas of redcurrants and complex notes of dusty baked earth. Very juicy berries on the palate with sweet, plump red fruits on the mid-palate in particular, supported by floral notes and prominent but refined Nebbiolo tannins. An excellent, well-priced introduction to this classic Italian variety.
