Contino was founded in 1973 as the first Chateau in Rioja on the 62 hectare estate in Rioja Alavesa. The name "Contino" refers to the officer in charge of the one hundred soldiers who looked after the royal family continuously, or "de contino". Grapes are carefully handpicked from the best microplots within the estate, with particular attention towards the characteristics of the soil and the characters they impart on the wines produced. The resulting blend of 86% Tempranillo, 6% Mazuelo, 6% Graciano and 2% Garnacha is exceptionally harmonious, with aromas of fresh dark fruits, along with spicy, toasty, notes of cedar and black pepper. This is a rich, flavour-packed wine full of complexity, with all of its components seamlessly integrated.

Sancho Garces pays homage to King Sancho Garcés III el Mayor, king of the Kingdom of Pamplona between 1004 and 1035, who promoted the pilgrimage route of the Camino of Santiago, or Way of St. James, and built hospitals and lodging. Sancho Garces presents aromas of fresh fruit and liquorice. Soft tannins, very well-balanced and easy-drinking.

A dry red wine made from delicately selected Pinot Noir grapes. This wine is defined by a delicate ruby red color. The nose is remarkable, with fruity aromas of raspberries, cranberries and morello cherries. The taste is medium-bodied and elegant, with combined aromas of red berries and liquorice. he 15-month ageing process in French and American oak barrels provides the wine with more structure and spicy hints of clove and smoke, finishing with a long aftertaste. Stylistically, Dalmau is the most modern of the red wines from Marques de Murrieta and is named after owner Vincente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga. The 2019 vintage has received 97 points from James Suckling, Tim Atkin, and 98 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Graciano, with 20 months in French oak and 6 months in concrete vats prior to bottling. Intensely scented nose with hints of blueberries, red plum, thyme, cedar and black pepper. Splendid palate, wide and well-defined with a long juicy finish. Grape: Tempranillo 100 percent - Alc. per Vol: 13.5 percent Cherry-red colour with incredible colour depth and bright colours. High intensity in the nose of red fruits, liquorice and toasted nuances. The palate is elegant, well-structured, round, long with a fresh and fruity finish.

Red ripe cherry color with violaceous hues. Intense on the nose, typical aromas of the Tinto Fino can be perceived, such as mature black fruits, blackberry and currant. The subtle oak notes appear in the background. On the mouth its intense with lively tannins, but mature enough to leave a gentle and mellow sensation on the mouth. This wine is balanced and has a persistent acidity.

Garnet red in colour, the bouquet is intense and persistent, fruity with a winery note. Flavour: wood, medium body, good tannins, balanced and ready to drink. Excellent with all the typical courses of Italian traditional cooking.
