Applejack Vineyard was planted by highly respected viticulturist Ray Guerin and is managed by his son Mark. This vineyard is situated in the Upper Yarra Valley to the south east of the traditional valley floor. The higher altitudes result in cooler growing conditions, despite the westerly aspect. The distinctive dark-red volcanic loam soil is a distinguishing feature of the vineyard. Applejack Vineyard is located on a dramatic slope and is close planted and meticulously managed. From Victoria's first vineyard comes Little Yering, a bright, youthful and delicious Pinot Noir from Victoria's home for the variety, the Yarra Valley. There is a delicate perfume of Kirsch and dried strawberry with underlying dried bouquet garni. This is a light to medium-bodied wine with a supple yet generously flavoured palate.

A vibrant pinot noir from master wine-maker Rob Dolan out of the Yarra Valley. Lots of black cherries, plums, aniseed & spice brimming from the glass followed on the palate with savoury, truffle, velvety texture. Bright cherry and raspberry fruit aromas to the fore with background hints of rosemary, lavender, rose petal and dark chocolate sitting above an underlying steely note. An intense entry onto the palate with fruit-forward red cherry, plum and rhubarb flavour. Not at all a shy Pinot Noir, yet it is still well-framed, poised and structured with weighty fruit emboldened by a base of firm tannins and fine acidity. This wine is suitable for vegans.

Sourced from a number of Yarra Valley vineyards, fermented in small batches with different treatments (carbonic maceration, partial whole-bunch and whole berry fermentations utilising optical sorting). 67% of the fruit comes from the valley floor and 33% from the Upper Yarra. The final blend equates to 15% whole bunches and 6% new oak, with the residual balance matured in French oak puncheons and barriques from 2nd to 4th fill. The wine saw four months on lees in barrel prior to bottling.
