A pale lemon wine with a lifted floral and stone fruit nose. The palate carries through these fruit forward characers and adds layers of buttered toast and biscuit. It is a wie that is textured , full, yet crisp, with a lingering citrus peel finish.

‘PIQ’, or Piquepoul, is the newest white wine from the Lienert stable. A fresh dry white akin to Eden Valley Riesling, but without all that mucking about in high altitude stuff. In a nutshell, Piquepoul is kind of like Riesling, but with a tantalising ocean mist character about it. Heralding from southern France, this crisp refreshing white has claimed ‘Official Oyster Wine’ status in its home country, such is the degree to which oysters and Piquepoul are joined at the hip. It does of course pair equally as well with mussels, abalone, clams and pipis!

This is the debut release of Spinifex Grenache Gris, and it's a wine that we should all be very excited about. When Pete Schell purchased the Dominion Vineyard in 2018, they quickly set to work planting varieties they believed suitable to this unique path of land, including the scarce Southern Rhone white variety Grenache Gris. This marks the first official release of this wine, and it's a beauty. The fruit spent a few hours on skins, before fermentation in old oak puncheons, followed by eight months’ maturation on lees in foudre. It's packed with glorious white and yellow fruits, with some creamy texture from the winemaking influence, and a pithy, salty finish that pulls it all together. Great with food or on its own, and a statement about the suitability of this variety to the Barossa Valley.

Immediately appealing aromas of tropical fruits such as guava, kaffir lime and green mango against a more restrained nashi pear note. The exotic fruit profile intermingles with Asian spices such as lemongrass and pickled Japanese ginger. The palate’s medium weight demonstrates a lightness and deft touch, with long acidity and acute fruit flavours. The mineral like acidity shines through with a saline and seashell freshness.

The 2023 vintage of Spinifex Lucette Cordon Cut Semillon is a standout example of the exceptional quality that can be found in the Barossa Valley. The wine, produced by the renowned South Australian winery Spinifex, boasts a vibrant golden hue that glistens in the glass. On the nose, enticing aromas of honey, candied citrus, and apricot mingle with delicate hints of vanilla and white flowers. Sourced from boutique vineyards nestled in the heart of the Eden Valley, South Australia this Chardonnay is perfect for enjoying with friends while you bask in the sunshine. Pale golden in colour with aromas of white peach, pear and lemon curd and enhanced by flavours of stone fruit, lemon and pear with a creamy softness and subtle toasty finish.

Red wine artisan, Marco Cirillo, has produced a single vineyard Shiraz with as minimal intervention as possible. Using 90% whole berry and 10% whole bunch as well as natural yeast fermentation without fining or filtering, this Shiraz screams of its terroir. Expressive fruit up front of plums and red berries with small waft of leafy characters. The palate dances across the tongue without hindrance from over use of oak and is a supreme wine for the price.

Woodlands Chardonnay has an attractive nose of grapefruit enhanced by some oak characters. A wine of some finesse with the elements of fruit, oak and acid coming together to produce a wine of exceptional balance and length.
