Tolley has been a name synonymous with the great wine for over a century. Produced by the iconic wine maker out of the Clare. This elegant Riesling is bone dry with bracing acidity and mouth-watering flavours of tangy lemon and lime. Cosy up with freshly shucked oysters, spicy Asian food, or apple pie. Pale green in colour this Clare Valley Riesling displays fresh citrus and floral aromatics and is crisp, dry and fresh on the palate.

Jim Barry is a master of Riesling and this 2014 vintage won't disappoint. It opens with aromas of lifted spice, orange blossom and lime. This offers a huge volume of flavour of grapefruit, lime and spice, with a palate that exhibits great line and drive. There is a creaminess to the palate balanced by the crisp acidity on the finish.

The development of this wine was an integral part of a winemakers 9-year, but ultimately unsuccessful, battle with bowel cancer. The first wine under this label was a Riesling and to this day, part of the proceeds from the sale of each bottle to fund his sons education.

The fruit for this excellent Clare Riesling is sourced from Kaesler's estate vineyards which have an average vine age of 58 years. Brilliant water like core with a greenish tinged outskirts. Jumping out of the glass with intensity are lime, lemon and orange rind scents followed by talc and mineral notes. Mouth watering flavours of lime, citrus and orange rind are delivered with terrific concentration and textural volume across the palate. Chalky talc and flinty mineral elements linger underneath. Finishes dry and crisp with crunchy acidity and a long snappy aftertaste. Drink over the next 5-6 years. Alc. 13%
