From the Cat Amongst the Pigeons label, this Eden Valley Riesling is a premier white wine you'll instantly fall in love with. Made from quality grapes, resulting in a magnificently complex flavour that's still brilliantly bright and refreshing.

A beautiful clean and crisp Riesling with distinct varietal and regional character. Pale gold straw. Fragrant green lime and grapefruit with delicate floral notes. Wonderful purity of flavour, fresh lime juice and a bright minerality. Zesty and lively with a long persistent finish.

Pewsey Vale Vineyard Lighter Riesling 9% is a fun twist on Eden Valley. Fresh and zesty. Made in a lighter style where the grapes are harvested as the first ripe flavours develop. Cooler fermentation contributes to its freshness and ultimately its lower alcohol style. Delivering flavours reminiscent of Meyer lemons, kaffir lime leaves and good times.

The Heggies vineyard situated in the hills above the Barossa Valley produces tightly structured classic Rieslings which can be appreciated young or cellared to achieve richer, complex flavours.

Well known for his Barossa Valley Red wines, Kym Teusner is equally at home producing lifted aromatic white wines from hand selected vineyards high in the Eden Valley. His The Empress Riesling comes from a block near Keyneton (about 400m above sea level) and from the Southern Eden Valley adjacent to the High Eden. Both parcels are handled differently with the Keyneton handled oxidatively to had textural notes and shape and the Southern fruit kept clean to offer racing acidity and vibrant citrus notes. A perfect balance.

‘PIQ’, or Piquepoul, is the newest white wine from the Lienert stable. A fresh dry white akin to Eden Valley Riesling, but without all that mucking about in high altitude stuff. In a nutshell, Piquepoul is kind of like Riesling, but with a tantalising ocean mist character about it. Heralding from southern France, this crisp refreshing white has claimed ‘Official Oyster Wine’ status in its home country, such is the degree to which oysters and Piquepoul are joined at the hip. It does of course pair equally as well with mussels, abalone, clams and pipis!

Not Your Grandmas Riesling has just a hint of residual sweetness which works just perfectly here. Fresh and floral, there's ample citrus and orchid fruits with perfectly balanced acidity for line and length. It works perfectly with or without food. Heggies in Eden Valley is a winery to watch. Their vineyard is one of the highest-altitude vineyards in Australia and their wines scale dizzying heights, too. This Riesling drinks beautifully now, but itll only get better with age. Fresh, zesty and alluring, it exudes confidence.
