Kalleske JMK Vintage fortified has been made in honour of John Malcolm Kalleske who has hand tended the vineyard where the fruit for this fabulous VP is sourced from for over 50 years. Kalleske's first attempt at a vintage fortified has seen it excel beyond belief. A very 'serious' style fortified without any of the candied sweetness sometimes evident in Australian 'ports', but a lip-smacking sweet/savoury blend that is at home more in Portugal than in the Barossa Valley. Outstanding.

Marco Cirillo, the guru of Grenache. A true artisan, Marco is the custodian of some of oldest Grenache vines in the world and remarkably he tends to each of the old, gnarly bush vines by hand, some standing 6-feet tall! The resulting Grenache that makes The Vincent has beautiful, fine grained tannin along with fruit that is remarkably vibrant and appealing to the palate.

This Kilikanoon Shiraz, exclusive to Dan Murphy's, pays homage to this great history with a red of supreme power and concentration. Typical regional fresh fruity characteristics of Grenache Rose, with aromas of strawberries and cream and tropical fruit cup with a palate of ripe strawberries and passionfruit and balanced acidity.

Grenache was hand-picked specifically for the production of rose. The fruit was crushed and macerated for 2 hours to increase colour pick-up as well as some natural fruit tannin. The must was then gently pressed to liberate the juice, and then 80% was fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to retain delicate fruit aromas.
