'Black Label' Cabernet Sauvignon, which was first vintaged in 1954, has evolved markedly over the decades. It is arguably Australia's most recognised Cabernet Sauvignon, and has more than any other, helped define Coonawarra. The wine is matured in new and seasoned French oak for 12 to 18 months. A classic Coonawarra Cabernet with pristine dark berry/ cassis aromas, fine grained tannins and underlying savoury nuances, it develops into a rich, chocolaty wine with age. In a super vintage, this wine can look astonishingly like a 2nd or 3rd growth Bordeaux with its pure cassis aromas and cedary complexity. Wynns John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon is the icon Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. Named after Coonawarra pioneer, pastoralist and parliamentarian, John Riddoch, this Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the very best of Wynns vast planting in Coonawarra and it only made in the years that best express Wynns strive for excellence. Arguably richer and more complex from comparable styles in the region, John Riddoch Cabernet is highly sought after and extremely limited.

One of the established names of Coonawarra, Redman Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from hand pruned low yielding mature vines. Ripe blackcurrant fruit and vanillin oak make this fine drinking now.

Appears dark red with deep purple hues. Showing a lifted perfumed nose of blackcurrant and cassis fruit and followed by a chocolate oak a hint of mint and enticing spice character. The palate shows dark berry fruit flavours upfront with hints of dried herbs and red florals. Supple varietal tannins provide a classical framework and weight to the wine which finishes with integrated fruit and oak driving a long finish. Perfect with roast lamb and mint sauce.

Packed full of mint, blackcurrants, spice and cedary oak, this wine is indicative of how a great the 2004 vintage was. Drinking beautifully now.

The Malleea (an aboriginal word for 'green paddock') is a very fine exapmle of the classic Australian Cabernet/Shiraz blend. The 2008 is rich, dark magenta in colour, with ripe plums, spice and vanillin oak on the nose. The palate is like a complex fruit cake with layers of fresh berries, black olives and hints of chocolate.

Aged for 35 month in French oak, the aromas and flavours of dark berries and spicy plum are beautifully interwoven with mulberry. Will age for 10 - 20 years with ease.

Selected from the best rows off our small vineyard in the world famous Coonawarra wine region. The renowned quality of Coonawarra is a product of its thin rocky soils and underlying soft crumbly limestone which naturally produces balanced vine canopies and small crops of intensely flavoured fruit. Displaying delicate black and red fruits with lifted spice and floral notes. A finely structured Cabernet that will gain further complexity with cellaring.

Another string to their 'Single Vineyard' bow, Wynns reinvested in the Child's vineyard in 2009 - elevating the fruit there from its traditional supporting role in other premium releases (including John Riddoch and Black Label) to having a dedicated bottling of its own.
