The Tar & Roses Tempranillo is a great example of what 20 year old Tempranillo vines are achieving in Australia. On the nose there are juicy rich mulberries, freshly dug earth with hints of blackcurrant and aniseed. The palate has impressive length, balance and structure.

Deep red with a purple hue. Aromas of dark berries and chocolate. Full of striking dark berry flavours that linger on the palate with elegant oak spice and fine tannins providing structure.

Considered the black beauty of wine, Nero dAvola displays bold aromas of respberry and blueberry, finishing with chalky tannins.

This Shiraz Cabernet is an elegant wine with good oak integration. The wine displays rich fruit flavours and aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants with chocolate evident on the palate giving a rich long-lasting pleasant finish

This Sangiovese Shiraz is an elegant medium bodied wine. The wine displays aromas of raspberry layered with strawberries and cream. Flavours of blueberry and red cherry supported by velvety tannins giving a long-lasting pleasant finish

From the western end of the Barossa famed for growing rich and structured wines. The combination of Malbec and Cabernet lends structure and body to the blend. Cabernet brings spice, cedar and dried herbs while the Malbec adds blue fruits and chalky tannins.

Malbec fruit has produced a wine with beutiful purple to blue hues, a rose petal bouquet, red berry and cherry palate and firm tannin structure.

Sevenhill was originally set up in 1851 when the Jesuits who settled in the area planted the Clare Valley’s first vines to produce sacramental wine. The estate’s wines, along with its old stone winery, stately St Aloysius’ Church, College building and spacious gardens has made the Sevenhill name famous. So much so that they have recently won the Gourmet Traveller Award for best Large Cellar Door in the Clare Valley! Ray Jordan gives their 2021 Malbec a solid 92pts, "Malbec is a variety that does rather well in Clare, especially as a major blending component with cabernet. Still this one does it solo, and it does it well. Lots of the distinctive red floral fruits on the nose have that stamp of malbec. Bright and alive on a high energy palate with plenty of ripe red fruit characters with chalky tannins and understated oak in support."
