Te Kahu is a wine of richness, with lovely black fruit flavours, hints of spice and long, fine graceful finish. From gravelly soil, it is made very much in the image of good Bordeaux.

Heathcote Estate has quickly emerged as an icon Shiraz producer from a region that continues to show its Shiraz pedigree. Run Amok Shiraz Cabernet is a blend of Hunter Valley Shiraz and Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon. Both were fermented in open fermenters and blended prior to bottling. The resulting wine has a purple hue with aromas of earth and spice. The palate reveals flavours of plums, blackcurrants, oak and spice. Pair with rich, creamier dishes such as lamb shanks or fattier meats of wild game.

Classical elegant Hunter shiraz, crafted from 50-year-old vines. Plums and violets on the nose, with touches of lavender and licorice. Savoury nuances mingle with juicy fruits on the palate, framed by smooth tannins. "A welcome confluence of 50yo vines, 12 months in (1st to 3rd pass) French barriques, volcanic loams and plenty of destemmed whole berries to impart a pulpy, lively jubiness to the fruit, all accentuated by a violet lift.
