The Parson GSM is a traditional take on three of McLaren Vale's most important and historical varieties. The wine displays hints of rosemary and aniseed the nose. The big palate is layered with liquorice and dark chocolate flavours that are beautifully interwoven into the textured firm tannin structure.

The Stump Jump GSM is a mesmerising fusion of 25% Mourvèdre and 27% Shiraz with 48% Grenache grapes. The wine displays a bright red hue lined by deep garnet shades. A swirl of the glass offers vibrant fragrances of raspberry, rhubarb, cedar and soot. The medium bodied palate is bursting with enticing fruit flavours, which are balanced by fine acidity. These vibrant characters integrate with chalky tannins, culminating the wine in a crisp and savoury finish. Suggested food pairings for this delightful GSM include grilled pepper steak, pates and blue cheese.

APPEARANCE: Beautifully intense purple colour with aromatics that jump out of the glass. AROMA: Pure fruited aromas of redcurrant and cinnamon follow through on to the palate with fresh acidity keeping the wine lively and vibrant. PALATE: A small percentage of whole bunch fermentation in the wine adds a savoury element and herbal notes. The Welkin Grenache is a light bodied wine that works very well in an aperitivo setting.

Some would say McLaren Vale is the spiritual home of Australian Grenache. We are not about to start arguing when Grenache like this one from Chapel Hill are produced. Generous rich red fruits with smattering of dried herbs and a fleshy mid-palate. There is real concentration and complexity to this wine.

Shiraz and Grenache blend beautifully in many of the warmer parts of South Australia. This AAA is Paxton's 9th release, crafted similar to a Rhone-style wine yet it is packed with Au's Terroir. Lifting fragrant aromas of strawberry/raspberry jujube, rose petal, lavender, cinnamon and star anise. Flavours of dark cherry, pomegranate and chocolate earth flow through the medium weight palate. Fine tannins and natural acidity focus the fruit into the moreish, savoury finish.
