Deep red in colour, The Brunette opens up with aromas of aniseed and spicy oak. Expect a palate full of red berries backed up by aniseed and liquorice. 'From a single vineyard in the Moppa district, a striking shiraz with deep, bright purple-red colour and youthful, undeveloped cherry aromas. This iconic red wine is a tribute to the Barossa region. Deep red in colour with ruby hues, this wine displays aromas of blackberries and plums supported by subtle hints of pepper and spice. The palate is rich, round and persistent with concentrated berry fruit and hints of aniseed. Twelve months barrel maturation in seasoned and new oak has enhanced the complexity, grainy tannins and length of flavour.

This wine is a memorial to the majestic old vines which were tragically uprooted from their Barossa Valley earth during the infamous Vine Pull scheme of the 1980s. Our century old estate vineyard bears the name Black Sash and pays tribute to the survivors those vines which serve as a living reminder of the value of resilience in the face of adversity and the relevance of tradition in an environment of constant change . This evocative wine captures this spirit. It has been handcrafted with the use of traditional methods from the fruit of old vines and delivers a rich, opulent palate, a fleshy core of dark fruit sweetness and a finish of superb length.

The Christopher This wine is a selection of the two finest barrels of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon in the winery for each vintage. It is dedicated to a young aspiring winemaker who had the potential to become one of the Barossas best. A blend of the two varieties that the region is most famous for and the two that Chris enjoyed working with the most. The wine is full bodied with a long seamless structure and balanced tannins. The rich dark fruit flavours of ripe Plum and Blackcurrants coat the palate. The Ann-Inspired Shiraz is names after my late Nan- Thelma Ann Dewey. The 17th March 2017 marked the day that both my beloved Nan passed and the fruit for my top tier Shiraz arrived at the Winery. As a result, we dedicated the title of this wine to her memory.<br>The thumb print that you see on the front label, is that of my Pop - Raymond Dewey, who spent 76 years with dear Ann, so we felt it only fitting that they share in this label together.

By 1850, Krondorf village comprised 121 Settlers and their families. These 121 souls formed the beginning of a new community that shaped the future of the Barossa Valley. Their spirit is remembered through the rare, meticulously selected old vines, with the 2021 vintage hand crafted from a single vineyard in the Southern Barossa with an average vine age of 60 years. With a minimalist approach to winemaking, gentle pigeage is used to extract tannins then it’s matured in premium French oak barrels for a period of 18 months. This richly textured Shiraz gives lifted and concentrated aromatics of dark plum and blackberry fruit, with complex spicy oak notes from new and seasoned French oak hogsheads. The palate shows incredible depth and intensity, the oak giving balance to the strong core of dark fruit. Graphite, aniseed and chocolate round out the palate. Approachable in the short to mid-term, but also a strong candidate for long-term cellaring.
