This is a typical cool climate Yarra Valley Pinot Noir with aromas of cherries and summer berries and hints of spice and oak. The palate is bright with red fruits and soft tannin. Innocent Bystander eminates from Victoria's Yarra Valley and is the brain child of owner, Phil Sexton. With winemaker Steve Flamsteed on board, the Innocent Bystander wines are fantastically varietal and extremely approachable. The Pinot Noir is packed full of black cherry and cedary notes with a perfect balance of soft, but fine grained tannin.

A majestic pale salmon colour in the glass is followed by lifted aromas of subtle strawberry and even notes of pomegranate and marzipan. The palate is crisp, yet generous with a superb long length. A beautifully perfumed example of the classic medium-bodied Yarra Valley style from an exciting new entrant to the local scene, made by the highly experienced Paul Bridgeman. Medium garnet. Open and expressive aromas of mulled strawberry, forest floor and clove. Plush and polished palate, delivering a riot of red berry perfume, and velvet umami throughout, enhanced by damp earth, mushroom and stalk and charry barrel harmony.

Rich red in colour, with aromas of strawberry, cherries, autumnal leaves and anise combined with fine French oak. Loaded with flavours of red and dark fruits layers of spice followed by silky savoury tannins. Overall a wine of complexity and layered fruit which will develop further interest through secondary characters over the next five years.

Bright pale yellow, there is nothing Innocent about this Pinot Gris! An extremely well made wine with distinct pear and freshly cut green apple slice on the nose followed by similar varietal characters on the palate. It is satisfyingly crisp with great acidity structure to be one of the great summer enjoyment.
