Chateau Tanunda was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the First vines planted in the Barossa in the 1840s as well as the Valleys first winery. The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon are from select rows of our Eden Valley vineyard. This wine displays deep, rich purple and red hues. The bouquet has lifted aromas of blackcurrant,bluberry and spice on the silky smooth palate with hints of cedar and mint.

Made from single vineyard to bottle. Low yields cool climate grapes from Nangkita. Deep sandy soil and limestone beneath, rich in elements for natural aromas and flavours. The wine is dark plum with lifted complex oak aroma. The palate has full flavour with rich berry fruit, warm, rich and intense. Upfront and splendidly appealing, the wine shows blackberry, sweet cherry, rich floral and vanillin oak notes, followed by a beautifully weighted palate that's plump and juicy, finishing lingering and silky. His name is immortalized in one of Neptune's five rings. Le Verrier is another ring of Neptune and a wine that proudly showcases all the characteristics of a fine Barossa Shiraz. This deep red wine has a ruby hue and offers aromas of blackcurrant and spiced plum, complemented by notes of chocolate and vanilla. On the palate, it exemplifies classic Barossa Shiraz, featuring dark berries, mocha, and a hint of smoky tobacco, all seamlessly balanced for a long finish. The wine has been matured in French oak hogsheads (30% new) for 24 months, using 4-year air-dried wood sourced from Francois Frere and Taransaud Coopers.
