An exotic single malt from Jura that was initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in hand-selected Caribbean rum casks. The result is aromas of guava, toasted coconut, sugar-coated almonds, apricots and orange that fill the nose, complemented by notes of vanilla fudge, mango, banana, guava, sea salt and lime throughout the palate.

Inspired by the crescent beach of Sandend Bay, Glenglassaugh Sandend is matured in bourbon, sherry, and manzanilla casks for luscious waves of flavor.

Matured in a combination of refill, Sherry and Bourbon casks, with a greater proportion of refill to allow ‘the sweet yet refined distillery character to shine through’. The whisky, bottled at 40% abv, promises a ‘slightly sweeter’ take on the classic Speyside style used by the Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year Old. Dewars 18 Year Old Scotch Whisky is carefully prepared by putting the whisky back into the cask to mature a second time after blending (double-aging). This method allows all of the older and characterful whiskies to mingle before bottling with resulting flavours of nut and marzipan, to name a few.
