Using modern viticultural practices that minimise work to the soil of their estate vineyard, ensures superior fruit is grown for the wine. Flavours of dark cherries and chocolate are finely framed with silky tannins and fresh acidity. Fine grained American and French oak are the thread that runs through this full-bodied Shiraz, tying together the opulent mid-palate and long, lingering finish.

Penny's Hill Cracking Black Shiraz continues to be what all McLaren Vale Shiraz should be. Deliciously intense, with all its components looking their best and beautifully synchronised. There's lengthy concentrated blackberry fruit, liquorice and pepper. Superb!

Planted in the late 19th century, the High Trellis vineyard was the first d'Arenberg vineyard to be trained above knee height. For the past four decades, a Cabernet Sauvignon has been produced from the vineyard to critical acclaim, even winning the Jimmy Watson trophy in 1969. Sourced from vines over 60 years old, Olivers Taranga's reserve shiraz is a powerful wine. Rich, dark fruit balanced against notes of dark chocolate and spice. Throw in some super silky tannins and you've got one seriously smooth McLaren Vale beauty.

Kay Brothers Amery Hillside Shiraz is big, rich and uncompromising in the traditional McLaren Vale style. Intense fruit a good measure of oak and beautifully balanced overall - a Shiraz to live for a decade or more.

The vines used to produce this wonderful Grenache are 80 years old (hence the name!) and it shows. Ripe cherry, berry fruit and a touch of spice that lingers on the palate. Lovely soft tannins that will reward medium term cellaring.

Carefully selected small parcels of wines have been crafted together to achieve a blend of optimum refinement and seamless structure. Each component adds distinctive characters to the finished wine; A classic bordeaux blend but with full Aussie wine characters. Cabernet Sauvignon boasts its' chewy strong tannins and long length, Cabernet Franc adds structural elegance with lifted ripe berry, whilst Merlot adds a soft velvety texture to the mid palate and a softness to the finish. BK WINES Springs Hill Series Red Blend, McLaren Vale

Vibrant in colour the nose shows plum and berry fruit with spice pepper and well integrated oak. The palate has good fruit weight with attractive berry flavours and a fine tannin finish.
