KI NO BI (The Beauty of the Seasons) is inspired by tradition and distilled, blended and bottled in Kyoto. We collaborate with the craftsmen and artisans of Kyoto who refine their skills in the legacy of the generations before them, working continuously in the cultural heart of Japan. Japans first dedicated gin distillery was founded with the sole intention of creating the finest gin possible: made from rice spirit and, wherever possible, using locally sourced botanicals, including yuzu, gyokuro tea and sansho pepper. The Founders are inspired by Kyoto culture, art, craftmanship and agriculture.
Hendrick's Orbium Gin
Orbium is a re-imagining of Hendrick's Gin by our Master Distiller, Lesley Gracie. It is what Hendrick's might taste like in a parallel universe. Instilled with additional extracts of Quinine, Wormwood and Blue Lotus Blossom, the result is an oddly exquisite gin that sits roundly on the palate. It is beautifully presented in the same irconic apothecary style bottle that is now synonymous with HENDRICK'S albeit in a sumptuous dark blue, inspired by the key essence of Blue Lotus Blossom. TASTING NOTES: Orbium combines surprising sweetness with a distinct lingering finish that spirals from zesty to floral, moving onto an altogether unexpected alluringly bitter climax. Local mulberries are steeped in the gin, then pressed by hand; final steps include light filtering before bottling. Naturally sweet, rich and smooth mulberry flavours distinguish this elegant gin. Served with fresh lemon juice, soda/bitter lemon and garnished with fresh berries, mint or basil.
Christian Drouin Le Gin Carmina
After the launch of Le Gin de Christian Douin in 2015, the only gin made from more than 30 varieties of cider apples and 7 herbs selected for their perfect combination of apple and juniper aromas, Guillaume Drouin has created a new blend dedicated to red fruits. Carmina is made with the same principles as the original version of Le Gin; each botanical or fruit is macerated and redistilled separately in order to optimise the extraction of aromas. The distillates are then blended before bottling. This time the bouquet is summery. It combines flowers and fruit with the use of raspberry, blackcurrant, elderflower, vanilla, lemon and orange in addition to juniper and cider apple varieties from Normandy.
Bass & Flinders Distillery Monsoon Gin
