Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year Old 107 Proof Bourbon Whiskey is one of the smoothest Whiskies you will find. It is bottled as close to cask strength as possible. The nose is sweet and soft with wheat, corn, custard and dried fruits followed by a rich and think palate with vanilla and caramel with subtle hints of coffee beans and soft oak. The finish is long and spicy.

Old Rip Van Winkle 13 Year Old Family Reserve Rye displays refined maturity with toasty oak, black pepper and spices on the nose followed by sweet and spicy body full of caramel, prunes and oak.

Medium copper-brown appearance. Sweeter notes of caramel and corn lift from the glass, with delicate cedar notes and pecan nut tones sit underneath. The palate shows an elegant array of citrus, caramel and peppery spice. Through the mid-palate, the citrus drops away and the caramel and spice come to the fore, intermingled with a touch of dry, vanilla oak. The caramel tones persist through the finish, with lighter notes of citrus and spicy oak lingering.

Michters is Americas first distilling company, dating back to 1753 when they started out making rye whiskey. They take a 'Cost Be Damned' approach to the production of every barrel, using various methods including air drying their barrels for 36 months, toasting the barrels before charring them, using a low barrel-entry strength, heat cycling to encourage ageing during the winter.
