The story of Sol goes back to 1899, when on a sunny morning in Mexico, a brew master was working away. The early morning sun crept over his brew pot, caught in the majesty of the moment he was inspired to name his brew 'El Sol' - the sun in Mexican. Tooheys Old is a robustly flavoured Ale made with top fermentation Ale yeast. The beer is lightly hopped, and gets its darker colour from black malt. Fruity Ale-like esters blend well with subtle hoppiness, hints of coffee and chocolate to deliver a unique beer.
