The Tasting Panel was extremely impressed by this wine. An excellent example of Malbec, with loads of varietal fruit power yet manages to retain a degree of elegance.Dense crimson black saturation. Immense cola and prune with perfect freshness and ripeness. Dense palate richness with cola and blackberry, mouth-filling chocolatey power, and superb tannin richness and depth. A very well made example of the variety.

Pioneer of the Coonawarra region, John Riddoch, lends his name to the highway that dissects the famous 'terra rossa' dominated region which is home to some of Australia's premier red wine vineyards. The fruit for this evocative Shiraz is sourced from some of these vineyards and is aged in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months to develop increased complexity. Exuding plum and red fruit aromas with just a tiny hint of oak that supports the rich textured palate. Perfect for enjoying today or for careful medium term cellaring.

His pioneering spirit and love of the region has been translated into this bottle of rich and smooth Coonawarra Merlot. Krondorf is a name synonymous with the Barossa Valley with a long and prestigious history. Beginning life with the establishment of the Glenview winery back in the 1850s, Krondorf was reinvigorated by Grant Burge in 1978 and today has gone on to become one of the country's most awarded wineries. The Shiraz is a class-A, born and bred, full-bodied Barossa red. Bright garnet in colour with a vibrant nose of mulberry and hints of sweet strawberry. In balance tannin and acid balance along with a superb long length make this Barossan a wonderful value-for-money buy.

De Iuliis (De - uli - iss) wines are known for their trademark regionality and commitment to showcasing the very best the Hunter Valley has to offer. Their Shiraz is a fine balance between power and subtlety. Spice driven aromas with mild hints of the berry fruit to come on the palate. Blackberry, raspberry and dark cherry come to the fore and are in harmony with the round, soft tannins.

Tempus Two Merlot is deliciously ripe, lovely flavours of mulberry fruit with some earthiness and spice. Soft tannins complement the finish.

Very pale salmon, some light red hues. Red fruits, raspberry, cranberry, a touch of liquorice, some light spice and earth. Pinot Noir is apparent on the front palate, with berries, fluffy talc and crystalline texture. The Grenache brings weight through the middle, a riot of red fruits and tarry spice. Mourvèdre fills the rear, with lovely fine extract framing the palate and adding length. A harmonious and very fine Minnow Rosé by Shadowfax: complex, dry and delicious.

It is full of black cherry, currant and plum flavours with a touch of spiciness. This wine would pair well with red meats, firm cheeses and pastas with red sauces.

Black garnet color. Bright aromas and flavors of blackberry pie, pistachio nougat, and powdered lime with a satiny, lively, fruity medium-to-full body and a smooth, complex, long blueberry cobbler, minty spices, and chocolate finish with chewy tannins and moderate oak.
