Woodlands were one of the 'first wave' of wineries to set up in the Margaret River in the early 1970s and today that heritage is in the capable hands of Andrew and Stuart Watson, sons of the pioneering David. The Margaret Cabernet Merlot displays aromas of rosemary, leather and spice winding through blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Rosabrook was one of the first wine producing pioneers of the Margaret River region and their expertise is demonstrated in the palate of this medium bodied Shiraz with bright spicy fruit, a richly flavoured middle palate and a long spicy finish. Although Shiraz is a lesser known variety of this premium region, it's examples like this that mean it's gaining a growing following.

Our 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon has an intense crimson colour. The nose reveals aromas of mixed spices, dark fruits, and toasty French oak. The palate is deep and powerful; showing a ripe spectrum of red to dark fruits combined with star anise, clove, and allspice. The finish is incredibly long, with firm but fine tannins. We consider our 2010 vintage to be the most complete and complex Cabernet Sauvignon produced at Woodlands.

Deep purple colour with lifted, rich and ripe fruit with balanced oak flavours. Medium bodied palate with fine deep tannins and a succulent deep fruited finish.

Like a smooth jam session, this wine is a rich medley of ripe plums, red berries and lovely spice flavours with a long lingering finish.

Hand Picked- Matured for 18 months in French oak (50%new). Brilliant crinmson-purple; a very complex wine on the bouquet and medium to full-bodied palate alike; the new oak certainly plays role, but it's the spice black fruit and fine tannins that build the perfect platform for a wine with avery long future.

Still very youthful, the quality French oak riding high in the saddle. This is a wine of excellent quality, ticking every box. Its texture and balance are admirable, the varietal character likewise.

This wine is a classic expression of cool climate Shiraz with notes of black plums, wild blueberries and sweet spice with a long, elegant finish of fine, silky tannins.
