Johnnie Walker Red Label continues to be one of Australia's favourite Scotch Whisky's. With a pedigree that dates back to 1820 when John Walker himself was bottling and selling whisky in his grocery store, it was his son, Alexander Walker, who began the legacy that has made Johnnie Walker the iconic name it is today. The Red Label was first introduced in 1909 and contains an expert blend of 35 grain and malt whiskies to produce a whiskey ideally suited for mixing. Dewar's 12 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky has a nose that presents as a complex blended Scotch whisky at first but with time some toffee notes arrive nicely backed by the grain notes. Some good oak spice is also previlent along with some heather. The finish is dry with some cleansing maltiness, a surprisingly long finish that is complex and warming.

Johnnie Walker King George V was created to celebrate the Royal Warrant given in 1934 to the Walker family to mark the exceptional qualities of their whiskies. The King George has more restraint and sophistication courtesy of the Port Ellen Distillery component that is powerful, slow and resonant. It initially shows a profound smoky aroma followed by sweet, fresh fruit (apples, pears, bananas) malt characteristics; developing into rich dried fruit and spicy complexity, raisins, figs and cinnamon. The palate is smooth with a rich, fruity sweetness. Warming with subtle flavours of sandalwood and smoke. Taste is powerful, complex, rich yet smooth. A mouth warming and lingering rich peaty finish.
