1987-planted Chardonnay vines, hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed straight to French barriques (15% new), matured for 9 months, the majority without stirring. A citrus driven nose with white nectarine & oatmeal. Super tangy palate with a great balance of acidity & flavour; Almond, white peach, & lemon curd.

Fresh aromas of pink lady apples and ripe Buerre Bosc pears cascade from the glass. The palate shows green apple and chalky minerality finishing with a soft touch of wild honey. There’s a fleshy tension to the wine from skin contact which is beautifully balanced with crisp varietal acidity.

Our Chardonnay has been crafted with exceptional fruit from the Coal River Valley, on the lower East Coast of Tasmania. It displays a symphony of white peach and citrus blossom, the use of French oak imparts a creamy texture that balances the juicy acid line to still retain remarkable freshness.
