The Kilchoman Sanaig Single Islay Malt Scotch Whisky presents soft cooked fruits with caramel and vanilla on the nose along with toffee, peat smoke and a lingering sweetness on the palate. The finish is a lovely balance of peat smoke, fruit and sweetness.

Located in Islays capital of the same name, Bowmore uses a combination of dedicated craftsmen, pure water, smoked peat and traditional manufacturing techniques to ensure that their whisky tastes the same as it did when it was first distilled in 1779. The 12 Year Old Single Malt has a nose of lifted lemon and honey that are bound together with the distinctive Bowmore smokiness. On the palate, the whisky is warm and delicious with subtle dark chocolate and peat smoke.

Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years has rich sweet fruit aromas along with toffee caramel, vanilla and a hint of smoke. Its warming and sweet on the palate with dark fruits, malty cereal, smooth creamy vanilla, fragrant almonds and tangerines, and a gentle smoke developing. A lingering finish brings notes of dark chocolate, caramelised citrus peel and very light smoke.

A new release from The Macallan and one we were thrilled to learn of. Matured in a combination of American and European Sherry oak almost 50:50, though slightly weighted towards American oak ex-Sherry casks. New oak is shipped from America across to Spain, where expert Coopers craft casks. These casks are then sherry seasoned before traveling to the Speyside distillery to mature for twelve years. These whiskies are then united with counterparts aged in sherry seasoned European oak casks. The result is, as you might expect nothing short of seamless. On the palate youll find some spice along with some green fruits though the meat of the palate remains true to style, featuring fat caramelised sultanas, vanilla and wood spice. The distillery is located in the glen of the Kinchie Burn where it derives its name. Glenkinchie is a sweeter style of scotch that is supported by a delightful creamy texture on the palate.

Aged in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in sherry casks. Double Wood is an excellent example of what the Balvenie distillery can craft, even at 12 years.

Cragganmore Distillers Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky appears warm gold in colour with a sweet nose of jelly, juicy fruits and a slight smokiness. Light to medium body with a firm, sweet palate of smoky undertones and nutty fruitiness. Medium finish with lovely oaky expressions, banana and vanilla notes linger on the tongue.

With a wholemeal and honey quality to the nose and the odd smoky tangent. A sweet, fruity core and a long round finish. Dalwhinnie has a little bit of everything, peat, honey and backbone. A classic malt for everyone.
