Walmae Makgeolli is a rice wine native to Korea. It is produced by mixing wheat and rice for fermentation which gives the product its unique, pearly appearance and light sweetness. Traditionally a rural delicacy, Makgeolli is now becoming popular with Koreas sophisticated urbanites while still retaining its traditional roots.
