We are a small team at Patrick of Coonawarra, making award winning wine from our estate grown vineyards within the Limestone Coast of South Australia. We produce product of passion, perseverance, people & place. Tasting Notes: This dry style of Rosé is fresh and lively with berry fruit aromas and floral hints combining with a soft, silky mouthfeel. The palate shows hints of strawberries and cream, perfectly balanced with fruit sweetness and a crisp, refreshing finish. Winemaker’S Note: The grapes were picked from a single vineyard, 40% Merlot, 30% Cabernet, 30% Chardonnay, then crushed and left on skins for 8 hours to enhance the flavour and release the vibrant colour, before being pressed. Vintage Note: 2021 was an overall standout vintage. Near perfect ripening condition and cool, mild weather kept the natural acidity of the whites fresh. Harvest decisions were precicely made and optimal balance of ripeness and acidity was achieved.

Ponting Wines is a collaboration between one of Australia's most celebrated cricketers, Ricky Ponting and Ben Riggs, an award winning Australian winemaker known for uncompromising, high quality wines. Rianna Ponting was central in Ricky's wine journey. Since we first met, Rianna has been influential in broadening my exposure to wine.
