The fruit for this vintage was hand selected from throughout the Southern Valleys, a Marlborough sub region renowned for growing Pinot Noir with great colour, intensity, excellent texture and ripeness. On the palate, enjoy flavours of cherry compote, mocha and clove, with earthy smokey notes from careful barrel aging in French oak hogsheads.

Our Pinot Noir brings aromas of dark cherry, cassis and mocha notes in a deep hue. Followed by rich flavours, lovely oak charm and a hint of salt.

You are greeted on the nose with suggestions of bramble and spice, gradually opening up to reveal red and black berry fruits, spice, leather and subtle floral notes.The palate is soft and supple, with cranberries and sweet red berry fruits upon entry. Fine silky tannins entwine a concentrated core of juicy black cherries, dark berry fruits, dried herbs and cocoa before trailing off to a long even finish.

Oyster Bay Pinot Noir is surprisingly a serious complex Pinot. Intense cherry and gamey, earthy notes are enhanced with quality French oak and the finish is spicy savoury and long. Terrific value.

La Forge Estate Pinot Noir is a deep bright and lovely light garnet-red colour. Very elegant with a quintessence of red berries, strawberry, cherry, and soft spices aromas with a hint of vanilla. Its a medium bodied wine, with ripe tannins and acidity which testify its capability to age. It develops very delicate aromas and a long lasting finish.
