Boroli Barbera D'Alba

Boroli Barbera d’Alba Langhe DOC is the estate’s take on Barbera in its pure, everyday guise, drawn from hillside vineyards around Alba that sit on classic clay-limestone soils with good exposure and ventilation. The fruit is picked by hand, fermented in stainless steel and then given a short maturation in large French oak (typically around six months), a regime that polishes texture while keeping Barbera’s natural freshness front and centre. In the glass, recent releases show bright ruby colour and aromas of red cherry, raspberry and blackberry compote with hints of violet, sweet spice and a gentle earthy undertone, carried by soft tannins and vibrant acidity. It is a supple, medium-bodied Barbera built for early drinking, offering plenty of fruit and regional character without heaviness and sitting neatly alongside Boroli’s more structured Nebbiolo and Barolo wines.
