Martell Blue Swift is the first-ever cognac VSOP matured in French oak barrels and finished in Kentucky bourbon casks. The delicate notes of candied fruit and plum, found in Martell VSOP, are complemented by the subtle sweetness of vanilla and toasted oak from the bourbon casks. The result is an exceptionally smooth interpretation of the Martell style, with a rounded taste and a unique character the most curious whiskey and cognac lover will enjoy discovering.

A rich, full of rancio, grape-to-bottle Cognac. Minimum 20 years old, all the way to 30 years old. This cognac provides access to a single vineyard, quality “XO”, very different from the blends of the bigger brands. A very special drink to keep the night going with family and friends. Tasting notes: Colour: Amber, with a touch of old gold. Aromas: Down among the flowers: touches of jasmine, clove pink, combined with the first flavours of fruits: peach, plums. The old maturation of this Cognac has given it its vanilla aroma and this light and sweet aroma that only an old Cognac has. Palate: The outstanding touch for this Cognac XO is probably its great elegance which is one of the major characteristics of the « Premier Cru », fully represented here by the delicacy of aromas as well as the subtlety of its palate.

The youngest of the brandies in this typical Bas-Armagnac blend was aged in oak barrels, in our cellars, for at least 3 years. Tasting Notes: A beautiful shade of old rum. A fine, elegant, subtle bouquet with no austerity. The oak reveals a hint of vanilla, enhanced by traces of cinnamon and dried fruit. The esters produce cocoa and vanilla aromas. A strong, well-balanced palate releases flavours of spices and currants. The finish has spicy undertones, with marked vanilla, prunes and dried fruit.

For their Merlet VSOP cognac, Gilles and his two sons have selected and blended eaux-de-vie from four to five years or older, from different regions of the cognac appellation, ensuring the consistency of its quality. Nose: The nose is fine and intensely fruity with notes of white fruits and peach. Mouth: The mouth is supple and round, the finish is noticeably fruity. Merlet VSOP cognac is defined by intense and subtle notes of fruits such as peach as well as a round and supple mouth. A luscious cognac to enjoy.
