Golden straw in colour, Excellia Reposado reveals a complex nose mixing honey, toasted wood, mushroom, dried lavender, jasmine and violet notes. Nine months of ageing in grand cru sauternes wine casks and cognac barrels provide a round and extensive mouthfeel with rich honey, cigar-box, and caramelized-agave/pumpkin notes. This is all mixed with subtle rancio and orchard fruits. The finish is long and satisfying with spicy and earthy notes.

Very vegetal, without the sweetness, oakiness, or vanilla that is often associated with a highland Reposado. You will not find a rounder finish in the tequila world.

Established 2010 in San Agustin Amatengo, Ejutla, Oaxaca. Espíritu Lauro mezcal is traditionally produced and distilled in copper stills. Espíritu Lauro Joven is an ensamble made in San Agustin Amatengo, Oaxaca. This mezcal is bright and subtly smokey.
