Running with Bulls Barossa Tempranillo is deep crimson in colour with alluring and evolving aromas. Opening with blueberries, black cherry and cocoa powder the aromas lead to hints of tobacco leaf, Sichuan pepper and rose water. Redcurrants and blueberries are prominent on the palate, with a creamy plush mid palate that finishes with fine dark chocolate tannins.

VINEYARDS = Our vineyards are located in the South-eastern part of Spain, between 700 and 800 meters above sea level, in the inland of Albacete. The weather here is mild and dry with a perfect temperature range between day and night. The vines are cultivated on the steep slopes of low fertility soil composed by reddish brown sandy clay soil, rich in limestone and chalk, ideal for growing healthy, high quality grapes.VINIFICATION = The grapes are harvested by night to preserve the aroma and to avoid oxidation. Soft stalk stripping and crushing, fermentation without skins at a low temperature, 16 Degrees C, for ideal colour and taste.COLOUR = Salmon.BOUQUET = Bright and clean, intense. A delicate aroma, very fruity with notes of cherry and raspberry.Medium body, intense, well balanced, soft andround, very long in the mouth. Marqués de Riscal Próximo is a new addition to the Marqués range and is a bright and fruit driven Rioja style sourced from slightly younger Tempranillo vines. Very strict parcel selection along with traditional picking techniques, this Rioja is bursting with dark blackberry fruit with notes of rich, ripe plums. Hints of liquorice and star anise also give the wine a superb backbone that is perfectly suited many Mediterranean cuisines.

The Reserva Tempranillo blend from iconic Riojan producer, Marqués de Riscal is made from fruit sourced from outstanding vineyard sites that are in excess of 15 years of age. This fruit is able to withstand the lengthy maturation process in oak due to the fine, complex tannin and acid structure. The resulting wine is classically savoury with notes of dark berries and toasty oak. The palate is long and rounded with interesting hint of spice.

It definitely pays not to believe every cliché that you hear, although there is more than a bit of truth to some. This is especially the case with the truism that is 'Spanish lover'. Quite obvious is the love and devotion paid to the vineyards in Ribera del Deuro by José Moro, resulting in this truly exotic and flavoursome red wine. A 100% Tempranillo that was created with expertise and dedication, the result of which is an intense and full-bodied wine that contains flavours of chocolate and raspberry along with a hint of vanillin oak.
