Made with fruit from vineyards planted in 1901 and 1906 with maturation taking place in seasoned French oak. Deep dark red purple core with black shaded edges and a red purple tinged hue. Exotic dark raspberry, morello cherry, liquorice and red plum scents flood the nostrils followed by some dried herb and vanillin spice notes. Caressing the succulent, mid weighted palate are dark raspberry, red liquorice and dark cherry fruits with vanillin spice, delicate earth, dried herb and pepper elements lying underneath. Opulently textured it has velvet smooth tannins and finishes long, spicy and seductive. Drink over the next 5-6 years. Alc. 14%

Turkey Flat Grenache is cropped from 90-year-old estate bush-pruned vines, the boquet is ultra-fragrant while the palate has the red berry and Turkish delight varietal flavour.

Torbreck, a well-respected winery in South Australia. The Steading is a decadent blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, the three traditional Barossa varieties. Wonderful richness and bold fruit flavours packed in this bottle yet harmoniouslyýco-exist together. Well developed complexity on the palate, although great to enjoy now, it has great potentialýfor further long term cellar with the right conditions.ý

The 2021 Red Grenache is a cool wine, because it throws off the usual full-bodied expectation of an easy drinking red and replaces it with something crunchy, spicy, medium-bodied and exciting. The fruit is sweet and tempered by savory tannins, and all in all, there is a heck of a lot of pleasure here. I love the febrile tension in the mouth. Really smart.

This wine is only made when vintage conditions permit, typically in the cooler/wetter years. The fruit is sourced from a single 100-year-old vineyard in Greenock, Barossa Valley from Grenache and Mataro fruit. After crushing the free-run juice is bled off into two large old wooden puncheons and fermented for six weeks. It is then fined with egg whites and stabilized for immediate bottling. Only 100 dozen of this wine is produced.

Spinifex Esprit is a Grenache Mataro blend that has a vibrant, youthful and fresh palate driven by a tangy herb infused line of red fruit red currant, sour red plum, pomegranate and marjoram that gains warmth and depth turning to tobacco, game, cedar and darker fruit to close. Pulpy, fleshy fruit is drawn long with plum skin acids and stony tannins.

The Z Wine Rustica Grenache has a vibrant purple colour with a youthful hue. A perfumed bouquet bursting with violet, crushed strawberry and raspberry aromas coupled with subtle white pepper and star anise notes making a truly intriguing and inviting Grenache wine. Ideal to consume while young.

A savoury spicy blend aged in seasoned oak. The nose shows plum, raspberry and tarry aromas and the medium bodied palate displays blackberry licorice and rich earthy flavours with fine, supple tannins.

Kym Teusner's Joshua is a fresh and lively fruit driven wine produced entirely free from oak influence. The nose offers Summer berries and sweet spice, and the palate is juicy and peppery with a long finish. Superb drinking on its own or with a wide variety of cuisine.
