The MadFish range by traditional Margaret River producer, Howard Park, is one of great value and regionality. This Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend is a Western Australian staple with gooseberry flavours along with real citrus zest lift and a cleansing back palate. But it is the complexity in this wine that is truly remarkable and something that isn't often seen in this blend.

Umamu Estate only releases their wines when theyve had time to develop in the bottle and this Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is drinking beautifully now. In the glass: Beautifully vibrant bright lemon with a still-youthful green tint. On the nose: Lifted mix of toast and honey development. On the palate: Rich and beautifully developed with a lovely warm core of buttered toast, preserved lemon and lemon curd in a terrifically textured, layered and complex wine. So remarkably fresh and complex.

The palate is vibrant and bright, with flavours of ripe passion fruit, gooseberry and lychee. These ripe fruit flavours are balanced with a refreshing lemon crisp acidity.

The classic Margaret River blend. Pale green in colour, with aromas of succulent Sauvignon Blanc and grassy Semillon. The palate is flint-dry with an initial impact of sweet racy fruit and a fine and lengthy finish.

A blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, this attractive white from Leeuwin Estate shows concentrated tropical fruit characters, such as honeydew melons, pineapples and fresh lime along with aromatic floral notes of Jasmine, frangipani with hints of warm spices on the nose. It is well rounded with vibrant citrus fruits and balanced acidity on the palate. Length finish and great with Asian food.

Clean grapefruit on the nose and palate balanced by crisp, fresh acidity on the finish. This is a classic Margaret River dry white. This Margaret River Sauvignon from the "formidable partnership" (Halliday) of Byron & Harold is "an intriguing mix of the herbal and tropical..."(WinePilot) and "fabulously aromatic..." with "terrific fruit intensity" (Wine Orbit). The fruit here is a combination from two vineyards, one in the north of the Margaret River region and the other close to Augusta in the south. Jane Faulkner in The Halliday Wine Companion gives it 92pts – “Any overt tropical fruit flavours are pared back so this reveals more white stone fruit and citrus – from lemon, lime and grapefruit to makrut lime leaves. There’s a hint of white pepper and coriander seeds with plenty of fresh herbs and bright acidity.92pts.”
