Deep red in colour, The Brunette opens up with aromas of aniseed and spicy oak. Expect a palate full of red berries backed up by aniseed and liquorice. 'From a single vineyard in the Moppa district, a striking shiraz with deep, bright purple-red colour and youthful, undeveloped cherry aromas. Alkina Spice Garden Shiraz, Barossa Valley A very welcome inclusion into the Premium Barossa Shiraz Club, Alkinas Spice Garden is 100% organic and biodynamic certified Shiraz from one specific block from which they produced just 44 cases (and some rare magnums). It looks and tastes like a high-gear Barossa Shiraz, with all the ripeness and power matched with a unique minerality.

Torbreck's Woodcutter's Shiraz is produced from hand-tended low-yielding vines. Bold and hearty it shows ripe sweet fruit flavours with supple tannins. Has quickly become a firm favourite of all the full-bodied Barossa red wine lovers out there.

The 2003 Seven Acre Shiraz displays typical flavours of plum, blackberry with slight hints of pepper and dark chocolate. The lacy tannin structure balances the wine tremendously and really reminds you why Greenock Creek are producing some of the world's best wines.

This wine comes from a meticulously hand manicured small vineyard, that consistently produces superbly concentrated fruit. The cuttings were taken in the late 1960's from the original Penfold vineyard in Magill, dry reared and planted in 1999. This is a rare viticultural practice, and the bravery has paid off in an equally brave wine. True Barossa Valley guts and glory, this demands to be cellared long term. On the nose, you will find brooding forest berry fruits with layers of dark chocolate and black liquorice aromas, with lingering notes of dark cherries. The palate is exceptional. The concentration builds and this wine delivers as one of the best in its class. A distinct individual character has been developed and is rich and fleshy with generous flavours of raspberry, ripe plum and dark berries that are perfectly balanced with hints of kirsh, vanillin spice and savoury earthiness finishing with luxuriously soft tannins.
