Yering Station Shiraz Viognier

Spicy cool climate Shiraz is fermented with whole bunches of a small portion of the white Viognier grape to produce this elegant style. Attractive floral notes of white flowers and peach blossom are enhanced by French oak and Rhone-like pepper and spice on the palate.

Denton Shed Nebbiolo

Yering Station Pinot Noir

Victoria's first vineyard is a landmark in the Yarra Valley and an icon of the Australian wine industry. Loads of lovely Pinot character on the nose with ripe cherry gamey notes and hints of "forest floor". Silky in texture the lingering flavour is enhanced by a touch of oak.

Levant By Levantine Shiraz

Intense aromas of white pepper, cloves, cardamom pods, ginger, Damson plums with an underlying hum of stalky complexity. A fine acid line, chewy youthful tannins and high-tone oak define the palate supporting flavours of red and black fruits and subtle herbal, charred meats and sous-bois characters. Extremely deep and reverberative flavourful finish that lingers long. This wine is suitable for vegans.

Pacha Mama Pinot Noir

This wine is made with Pinot Noir fruit grown on some spectacular vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley, comprising predominantly MV6 clone, with some 114 and 115. Pacha Mama use minimal additives or fining and aim to let the fruit shine through rather than clobbering all over it with heavy oak use or commercial wine-making techniques. Flavours of sour cherry and wild strawberries carry on to the palate complexed by a savoury spice and intriguing earthiness that lingers long after the last mouthful.

Levant By Levantine Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark brooding intensely varietal fruit characters showcasing signature aromas of cassis, anise, sarsaparilla, chocolate and freshly-ground coffee underpinned by typically classic herbal notes. Subtle structural palate with slow-building fruit washing over the bed of youthful chalky tannins. Red currant, cocoa nib and charry oak characters feature with a Chinotto-like flavour on the long-drawn finish. This wine is suitable for vegans.

Helen & Joey Estate Alena Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

In early March, we hand harvested 6 tonnes of Cabernet sauvignon from our cane pruned, lower yielding section of our Cabernet sauvignon. The grapes were destemmed and very gently crushed prior to fermentation. Throughout fermentation, a range of cap management processes was used in order to extract colour and fine tannin. Once alcoholic fermentation was complete, the tanks were filled and allowed to macerate on their skins for 6 weeks. The post fermentation maceration allowed us to build tannin structure in the wine, without adding bitterness or astringency. The wine was placed in French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation, followed by ageing for 12 months. At the end of the ageing, individual barrels were selected for the final blend. The wine required no further treatment except bottling. While 2017 was a cooler year, our 2017 Alena Cabernet Sauvignon still displays the classic Yarra Valley characteristics of cassis, violets and chocolate. This is all supported by refined tannins and the sweet spice from the oak. The wine is very young, after bottling in July 2018, and will reward time in the cellar.Such a fine, complex wine requires a fine, complex match with food.

Yering Station Cabernet Sauvignon

Compelling and convincing, with florals, currants and blackberries, not too sweet; it has a savoury edge, with the oak seamlessly integrated. Perfectly ripe tannins with poise and presence ensure that this is lovely now, but will be more so in years to come.

TarraWarra K Block Merlot

The K Block Merlot comes from a single vineyard. Savoury spice and plum flavours reward the drinker with a fuller body than most Yarra Valley red wines. Beautifully structured and balanced, this is a stunning example of a much-maligned grape. 2015 was an excellent vintage in the Yarra Valley. Ideal conditions persisted throughout the growing season, with temperatures hovering in the mid to high twenties from veraison to harvest. Cool nights and mild days gave perfect ripening conditions, with the fruit in perfect condition at harvest. A long north-west facing block with clay loam soils. The block has long produced grapes with subtle flavours and firm structure which is well suited to this clone of Merlot and the preferred style for TarraWarra Estate. Fermented in French Oak foudre (4000L) and matured over 18 months in French Oak puncheon (500L) and barrique (225L) (20% new barriques). TarraWarra Estate was established in 1983 by Marc and Eva Besen with a vision to producing wines of great quality and integrity amidst a welcoming and beautiful location. TarraWarra Estate is located on a prime site at the warm eastern end of the Yarra Valley in southern Victoria. It is recognised as one of Australias great wine estates. Chief winemaker, Clare Halloran leads a team at TarraWarra Estate that pays particular attention to the characteristics of each new vintage. The remarkable qualities of every individual vineyard block are preserved by fermentation and vinification of many different parcels of fruit. As a result, TarraWarra wines offer a unique reflection of seasonal conditions in the vineyard. TarraWarra Estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir have received consistent acclaim and numerous awards. They are premium wines of great character and depth, crafted with elegant structure and balance. They reflect the outstanding quality of 100% estate grown fruit from the unique microclimate of a specially selected site.
