Vincent's Breeze Adelaide Hills Chardonnay
Vincents Breeze wines take their name from a picturesque stretch of water found between the Fleurieu and Yorke peninsula in South Australia known as the Gulf St Vincent. These wines were created by blending a number of separate vineyard parcels with the aim of balancing the strengths of each.Honeydew and brown lime flavours intertwine with a smooth and creamy mid palate. Fine natural acidity give great length and balances the textural oak characters.
Organic Chardonnay
Certified Organic grapes were handpicked in the cool early morning and crushed, chilled, and pressed on arrival at the winery. The juice was then transferred into French oak barrels for fermentation. Once fermentation was completed the barrels were stirred weekly, suspending the yeast lees giving the wine extra texture and suppleness. After 6 months in barrel the wine was racked off lees and given a light filter prior to bottling. Light straw in colour with green hues and aromas of bright guava,
Paxton MV Shiraz
A delicious mouthful of McLaren Vale Shiraz. Paxton has generous ripe black fruits, sweet spice, liquorice and rich chocolate flavours on the palate. Framed by savoury oak and silky fine tannins with a lengthy finish.
The Black Chook Shiraz
The Black Chook is another fantastic 'big fruit' style from Ben Riggs. The nose is complex with aromas of black cherries and violets and the palate is rich and spicy with great mouth feel and excellent length.
Mr Riggs Piebald Syrah
This wine, a Piebald, meaning black and white, is a co-fermentation of the blackest Syrah grapes, with a hatful of the purest white Viognier. Deep in colour, the wine is almost black, yet is also vibrant and bright. The nose is perfumed with apricots, spice and liquorice; a pretty, fragrant wine with a sweet juice and velvety palate. The finish is elegant with savoury spice and a fine tannin length and persistence.
Woodstock Grenache Rosé
Cherry, raspberry and rose petal aromas are intermingled with hints of blueberry. Juicy cherry flavours of Grenache continue in a rich, ripe, textured palate. Terrific with smoked salmon.
Kay Brothers Amery Vineyards Basket Pressed Grenache
Kay Brothers from McLaren Vale tread that delightful line between tradition and innovation perfectly. A rich and deep history in the region has seen them settle on some of best vineyard land in the region which helps produce juicy, pleasure-filled wines like this Basket Pressed Grenache. Lifted colours of purple and dark crimson in the glass give a preview to the layers of brambly fruit on the nose. Copious amounts of plush redcurrants and raspberry on the palate with a silken mouthfeel due to elegant tannin and bright acidity.
Wirra Wirra Church Block Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot
Church Block first appeared back in 1972 under the watchful eye of Greg Trott who was taken by one of the original vineyards that ran alongside the small Bethany Church, across the road from Wirra Wirra's old ironstone cellars. Over the last 4 decades, Church Block has become one of Australia's favourites with its rich, full-bodied style consisting of swathes of black and blue fruits and a nice, smooth finish that seems to last ever so long for such an affordable red wine.
McLaren Vale III Associates Renaissance Merlot Cabernet Petit Verdot
A lovely approachable wine from the guys at III Associates. Plum flavours drive the wine with a soft, plush mouth feel and intergrated tannins. Lovely toasty oak is also prevalent with nice blending of the Cabernet fruit.
Chapel Hill The Vinedresser Shiraz
Chapel Hill The Vinedresser is a true to form McLaren Vale Shiraz. With hints of blueberry and spice and a long, silky finish.
