Monteith's crisp and smooth Black is crisper than sweet darks and smoother than harsh stouts. It's a beer that is crafted from a blend of five premium malts to create a complex depth of flavours with coffee notes dominant.

While the partridge in a pear tree on the label suggests Christmas, this Hook Norton brew is available all year round and is a wonderfully rich and dark strong ale that will warm any cold soul. With a dark malt palate with nutty overtones, Twelve Days finishes with a hint of sweetness that compliments the bolt rich flavours perfectly.

Hook Norton is one of the few remaining family owned English Pubs and Breweries in existence in the UK. They produce ales of true distinction and flavour just like this fruity and full-bodied ale, Old Hooky. Wonderfully balanced and rich in texture, Old Hooky has plenty of aromatic fruit-driven notes and a palate covering smooth finish.
