Australia's premier cool climate Cabernet. It was John Middleton's dream to create such a wine and purchased the Mount Mary property in the Yarra Valley in 1971 to persue this dream. Quintet is his dream realised and is a blend of the classic Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec.

A classic Paringa Estate Shiraz balancing restraint and power. Blackcurrant pastille, raspberry licorice, a hint of tobacco, spice and a redcurrant lift on the nose. The palate has a generous black fruit core supported by an abundance of fine grained tannins and acid line.

Intense aromas of white pepper, cloves, cardamom pods, ginger, Damson plums with an underlying hum of stalky complexity. A fine acid line, chewy youthful tannins and high-tone oak define the palate supporting flavours of red and black fruits and subtle herbal, charred meats and sous-bois characters. La Bohème Act Four, a blend of Syrah (Shiraz) and Gamay from De Bortoli. This delicious wine has a soft, textured palate consisting of red and black fruits, spice, bitter chocolate and perky acidity. Well intergraded oak with a lengthy finish.

From Victoria's first vineyard comes Little Yering, a bright, youthful and delicious Pinot Noir from Victoria's home for the variety, the Yarra Valley.
