Old Curiosity Distillery grow their own botanicals in their own Secret Herb Garden, where they are hand-harvested and dried before being distilled and infused to create the Secret Garden Gins. The inspiration was to allow nature and the wild in, by creating a dry gin using indigenous botanicals such as Sweet Cicely, Bog Myrtle and Dwarf Birch. Orbium is a re-imagining of Hendrick's Gin by our Master Distiller, Lesley Gracie. It is what Hendrick's might taste like in a parallel universe. Instilled with additional extracts of Quinine, Wormwood and Blue Lotus Blossom, the result is an oddly exquisite gin that sits roundly on the palate. It is beautifully presented in the same irconic apothecary style bottle that is now synonymous with HENDRICK'S albeit in a sumptuous dark blue, inspired by the key essence of Blue Lotus Blossom. TASTING NOTES: Orbium combines surprising sweetness with a distinct lingering finish that spirals from zesty to floral, moving onto an altogether unexpected alluringly bitter climax. Inspired by the city of Edinburgh and made with both demanding bartenders and malt whisky enthusiasts in mind, Artist Blend from Compass Box Whisky is the perfect Scotch whisky for creative drinking. Bottled with a very high proportion of single malt whiskies, this whisky brims with flavour notes of apple, salted caramel and baking spices with a noticeably creamy mouthfeel and finish.

Glasgow Blend from Compass Box Whisky was inspired by historical references that Glaswegians have long preferred bigger, smokier whiskies. Full, rich and smoky on the palate, this whisky unites the spice and fruitcake-like notes of Sherry cask ageing with the maritime punch of Islay malt whisky. An old-school peaty blended Scotch whisky that is perfect both alone and in hand-crafted cocktails.

Tasting note: Nominated as one of the twenty defining whiskies of the past twenty years by Malt Advocate back in 2013, this new incarnation of Arran 10 opens slightly woody and acidic on the nose developing attractive honeyed, chocolatey notes. On the palate, American oak underscores the malt; juicy orchard fruits and vanilla shine through in a fresh, spicy delivery. The finish offers stewed pears and hints of cinnamon.
