With slightly fuller fruit flavours than its crisp companion, there is plenty of ripe melon and passionfruit flavours here.

The Bin 389 style evolved as a result of experiments, by Max Schubert, in the 1950s to develop a highly individual wine using a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz with compatible oak treatment. Bin 389 combines the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz and demonstrates the traditional Penfolds' trademark - balance between fruit and oak, giving the wine character and longevity.

Jacob's Creek Chardonnay Pinot Noir Sparkling is the favourite of many Fine Wine Managers at Dan Murphy's as the ultimate "party" sparkling wine. Jacob's Creek Chardonnay Pinot Noir consistently out shines the more expensive opposition for freshness and vibrancy. The citrus and toasted cashew flavours of Chardonnay are married beautifully to the fresh bread crust characters of Pinot Noir.

Jacob's Creek does it again with a Chardonnay with attractive melon and fresh fruit flavours complemented by subtle toasty oak that are all hallmarks of this fresh crisp variety.

This is a full flavoured Chardonnay, exhibiting ripe fruit flavours of peach and melon and hint of nougat for complexity. Finishes smooth with good length.

Tempus Two Merlot is deliciously ripe, lovely flavours of mulberry fruit with some earthiness and spice. Soft tannins complement the finish.

Scotchmans Hill Swan Bay have firmly established itself as a premium player with great affordability. Their Pinot Grigio is full and ripe with nashi pear and stone fruits, creating mid palate richness which flows through to bath salts and honey characters on the finish. The wine is supported by firm acid and a mineral back bone; and has a long and lingering aftertaste.

This is a wine of intense blackberry fruit, dark chocolate and spice on the nose and palate. The fine tannins, acids and excellent fruit weight will ensure excellent mid term cellaring with the added bonus of no preservatives for those who are sensitive to sulphur.
