The Dirtman Shiraz by Gibson Wines is named after Rob Gibson, owner and winemaker. With love of viticulture and the soil, Rob has always been referred to as The Dirtman. This attractive Shiraz has wonderful rich, dark cherry notes with plums and a touch of apricot thrown in. The texture on the palate is vibrant with a length that is simply perfect.

St Hugo Cabernet Shiraz displays a dark ruby red with purple hues. The bouquet of dark forest fruits such as plum, blueberry and cassis lead into a beautifully complex palate of blackcurrent, sweet plum and chalky tannins. There is a underlying savoury oak hint and a finish of lingering dark chocolate.

The wine reflects the slate and granite soils with strong mineral notes, and fruit flavours of blackberry, Morello cherry. Complex deeper notes of earth and cured meats bring the palate to a long and evenly weighted finish. Strikingly beautiful, the wine shows perfumed aromas of dark plum, mulberry, thyme, clove and roasted hazelnut on the nose, leading to a beautifully refined palate that’s silky and flowing. The team at St Hallett, headed up by Stuart Blackwell and Toby Barlow, have done a fantastic job with this shiraz, choosing the best grapes from the vineyards to create a wine that is lush with great depth of flavour.

This new and exclusive Trophy winning Shiraz is a high quality, single vineyard Shiraz from Barossa Valley icon, Château Tanunda. An opulent, full-bodied wine with lifted aromas of blackberry, blueberry and cracked black pepper supported by spicy, dark berry fruits on the palate. The extensive finish is framed by elegant, fine-grained tannins from maturation in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels. The Château Tanunda Mattiske Road Shiraz 2015 was awarded the Trophy for Best 2015 Shiraz at the 2016 Marananga Wine Show. Gold Medal and 95 Points at Barossa Wine Show 2017.

When it comes to the quality and price ($320 a bottle!) of this outstanding Shiraz, the term Super Premium is an understatement. The story of this winery began in, you guessed it, 1847. After the proclamation of a land grant by the Governor for the historic Rowland Flat property, Bavarian immigrant Johann Gramp planted what was the first commercial vineyard in the Barossa Valley. 1847 winery now encompasses some 200 acres of premium estate vineyards. “There's a bright, spicy crunch to the best of '17 Barossa shiraz. This is a refreshingly medium-bodied style laced with red cherries, greengage plums and a hint of black pepper. This Shiraz is dark red with amazing purple hues, it has aromas of blackberry and pepper, and is a flavour bomb of sweet black fruit.
