One of the most striking-looking new releases around, this bone-jangling, sepulchral, triple-distilled whiskey was once entombed in oloroso sherry butts. A nose of baked apple and sultana, rolled marzipan, sesame seeds, and roasted spices. Smooth tasting, with dark fleshy fruits, mixed peel, chocolate, walnut; the taut spicy middle section dies back to baked oranges. Finish includes dried fruit, lemon zest and oak spice delight the palate, before finishing with a woody and honeyed sweetness.

The whiskey has been finished in stout-seasoned casks, producing notes of cocoa, coffee and butterscotch while still retaining Jameson's famous triple-distilled smoothness.

"What is Welsh for Wow!?" - Jim Murray 'Myth' is the second whisky in Penderyn's 'Dragon' range of 41% ABV expressions, along with Celt and Legend. This departs from the distillery's commonly found style of ex-Madeira wine cask-finishing, preferencing ex-bourbon and ex red wine casks. There are less pedestrian flavours of melon and green apple suggested through the vanilla and biscuit-like malt and while it is arguably the fruitier of the three in the collection, it remains a subtle, low-key whisky experience with little to no burn, leaving the impression of a well-made low ABV blend.
