The Botanicals used include; Juniper, Coriander Seeds, Star Anise, Almonds, Cloves, Cardamom, Dill Tips, Ginger, Grains of Paradise, Black Pepper, Orris Root, Cinnamon, Angelica Root, Fresh Lime, Fresh Lemon and Fresh Orange.

Each bottle is individually numbered, hand labelled and produced in small batches from their small distillery in the Yarra Valley.

Islay artisans, Bruichladdich, turn their hands to producing the first and only Islay Dry Gin. The botanicals used comprise of nine classic gin varietals, plus 22 wild, Islay botanicals that are hand-picked from the wind-swept hills, peat bogs and the Atlantic shores. Proudly, a wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters as it ages. It is matured in old, 1,460 litre vats that allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character. Although a small proportion of Cabernet is sometimes used to improve structure, the focal point for St Henri remains Shiraz.

Roku is Japanese for "Six" which refers to the six Japanese botanicals used. Cherry blossoms, cherry leaves, green tea (sencha), refined green tea (gyokuro), sansh pepper, and yuzu are utilized along with eight other traditional gin botanicals. Smooth and oily, the gin has a rich character as it coats the tongue. Theres a fleeting glimpse of cherry blossom and traditional notes before the tea and tannic notes take over.

Yarra Valley makes some of the finest wines in the world. In 2015, Four Pillars combined Rare Dry Gin with some of the best Shiraz Grapes in Australia to create Bloody Shiraz Gin for the first time. 2018 release has great depth of colour compared to previous releases. Flavour-wise it's showing dark fruit, red berry and spice. There is also plenty of that classic Yarra Shiraz white pepper. And of course a lovely ginny character carries those grape aromas, making it unmistakably gin. The palate is lovely and sweet, with long juniper and spice characters to finish.

Each 500ml spirit lid is manually dipped in wax with a silver foil swing tag, presented in a hand wax dripped, thick cardboard cylinder box. As each Gift Box is manually waxed, no two boxes are the same, some minor organic imperfections may be visible.Whisky:Distilleries began producing whisky in the late 18th century. The spelling of the term Whisky alters by country, Scottish, English, Welsh, and Canadian whiskies use Whisky, while the Irish use Whiskey. Scottish Whisky must be aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years, where it is known as the spirit of the Gods. This might explain the Angels Tax, used to describe the amount of whisky lost each year to evaporation during the ageing process. They must be happy little Angels over Scotland. With more than 30 bottles of whisky exported from Scotland each second, theres clearly enough left over for the rest of us whisky lovers.
