"Replacing the Petit Chapelle cuvee and first made in 2015, the 2016 Hermitage La Maison Bleue is smoking good. Black fruits, charcoal, powdered rock, currants and chocolate notes all give way to a big, concentrated, impressively structures barrel sample that has tons of potential. One of the best known producers of the Rhone Valley is Paul Jaboulet Aine. They produce an array of high quality wines from various appellations within the Rhone. Fine and delicate, Saint-Josephs wines were already on the market in the16th Century. They were appreciated at the table of the kings of France.Made from 100% syrah, the Jaboulet St Joseph exudes a ruby red colour with light purple reflections.This Saint Joseph has an expressive nose with floral and gourmet notes, chocolate and coffee. On the palate, we find a nice acidity that carries the whole length and a good structure with fine tannins.

Located within Murrumbateman in the now prestigious wine region of Canberra District, comes Eden Road who are well known for cool-climate, elegant style wines. Here their 'The Long Road' Syrah is actually sourced from vineyards that are both within the Canberra District and other nearby regions, like Hilltops. The result is a Syrah that is lifted in both aroma and flavours of ripe red cherries and strawberry. 14 months in older French oak has also provided a subtle savoury note with extreme elegance.

Vibrant purple red. Lifted fragrant and fresh black and redcurrant fruit followed by jasmine like florals, ground spices, summer pudding and pannacotta. A secondary look with air shows whole bunch notes of spice and sauvage adding complexity. The palate is juicy soft and round, laced with black fruit, raspberries, white pepper and spices. Very much medium bodied, this has beautiful line of acidity that adds length and balance to the velvety, gentle core of sweet fruit. A pure, fresh, fragrant wine.
