Joining La Mouline, La Landonne and La Turque as Guigal’s fourth single-vineyard icon, La Reynarde represents a historic addition to Côte-Rôtie. Sourced from a 1.6-hectare terraced plot in the Fongeant lieu-dit along the Côte Brune, the 100% Syrah vines root deeply into granite, schist and iron-rich clay. Winemaker Philippe Guigal employs whole-cluster fermentation with traditional punch-downs, followed by 40 months of maturation in new French oak barriques. The palate delivers dark berry fruit, graphite and iron-tinged minerality bound by refined, architectural tannins. It offers collectors supreme prestige, regional distinction and immense cellaring potential.

Whitebox Shiraz has aromas of dark fruit, spice and leather that leads into a palate of blackberries and cedar. The fruit sweetness is balanced by firm acid and fine tannins. A great example of Heathcote Shiraz from a favourite of Dan Murphy's customers over the years.

Tucked away nicely in the Adelaide Hills, Sidewood Estate have made an art form out of crafting some of the very best single vineyard cool-climate wines available in Australia. Owen and Cassandra Inglis purchased the boutique property in 2004 and immediately set about making their vision become a reality. Their Sidewood Shiraz displays that vision to perfection. Attention to detail is the key here which enables flavours of red cherry, currants and dark plum to shine through along with hints of cinnamon and spice. The texture is beguiling and gives promise to a wine that will age for up to a decade.
