Sourced from Juniper Estate's Wilyabrup vineyard, Metricup site and Karridale vineyard, all of which are sustainably farmed following organic practices. Winner of a Gold medal and scoring 95pts at Royal Melbourne, the Crossing Original Red displays aromas of raspberry, redcurrant and cherry with a lick of cassis and a red liquorice twist. Oak contributes subtle cedar and vanilla hints. Medium to full-bodied and silky in the mouth – the palate is driven by bright, juicy red fruits and a hint of dark chocolate. Impeccably balanced acid, discreet oak, glossy tannins and remarkable length. "80% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot, 4% cabernet franc, 3% malbec, 3% petit verdot. Vasse Felix produces fine Margaret River reds with great balance and style. This traditional blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon shows sweet mid-palate fruit with liquorice and spice and good tannin structure. Fantastic French oak integration enabling soft tannin complexity and a lovely length of flavour.

Always regarded as one of Margaret River's favourite wineries due to the inherant quality. Forester Estate seems to marry beautifully with their value-for-money philosophy. This Cabernet Merlot continues to win wide acclaim due to its dark purple colour and its lifted aromas of raspberries and black forest cake. Rich berry flavours are well balanced by a tight tannin structure typical of quality Margaret River Cabernets. The other great bonus is the ability of this great Cab blend to morph into a true cellar star.

A high quality wine from the first whiff of the bouquet through to the long finish...has a tapestry of flavours from the base of Cabernet...all supported by persistent but ripe tannins, the oak absorbed by the fruit. Winning the prestigious Decanter International Trophy, we snaffled as much of this wine as we could. Very limited.

From one of Margaret River's best and original producers, Vasse Felix comes this excellent Cabernet Merlot blend has great concentration of blackcurrant fruit with cedary oak and fine tannins - a style with elegance and finesse rather than power.

Since the first release in 2002, Fraser Gallop Estate have gone from strength to strength, picking up a Jimmy Watson Medal along the way. The Cabernet Merlot is a lovely example of the blend which is so at home in Margaret River. Leafy mulberry on the nose with cassis in the background, and a soft , flavoursome palate. Delicious!
