The Tate name is synonymous with Margaret River after John Tate helped create arguable the regions most well-known winery, Evans & Tate. Today, Franklin Tate has brought the Tate name back to life with new, exciting terroir driven wines. Franklin painstakingly selected the very best vineyard sites, those that held unique micro-sites within them to enable him to achieve his goal of producing some of the regions best wines. This Shiraz was picked at optimum ripeness and fermented with 10% whole bunch. French barriques were used in the fermentation process to give a softness to the palate, as was a small percentage of Viognier. The result is a great Margaret River Shiraz with grounded savoury notes along with ripeness and spicy lift.

Award winning wines have been the modus operandi for the Tate family since the mid-70s. That pedigree and know-how can be tasted in this bottle of hand crafted Margaret River Cabernet Merlot. Regional notes of bay leaf, eucalypt and dry, tannins are supported by a lush and vibrant blue and black fruit backbone that continues on the palate for what seems like a lifetime. The other great bonus is the ability of this great Cab blend to morph into a true cellar star.

A lovely example of Margaret River Cabernet Merlot, Flametree Cabernet Merlot is showing big dense fruit characters of blackcurrant and stewed plums. A silky seamless palate with rich fruit concentration and chocolaty complexity. Matured in French oak barrels has softened and rounded this wine.

Made by iconic winery Howard Park, the fruit for MadFish Gold Turtle Shiraz is sourced from the South West of the state where Shiraz thrives. This wine has sweet berry and spice characters complemented by a touch of white pepper and well handled French oak. Lovely!

This wine is largely sourced from a single block of vines planted with Tempranillo, Shiraz and Merlot. With aromas of ripe, fresh summer fruit berries with a hint of lifted violet notes, this is a dry Rosé with balanced acidity.
