Stellenrust Barrel Fermented Chardonnay

Stellenrust was established in 1928 and has ever since produced some of the most superb quality wines that the Stellenbosch region from South Africa can offer. It consists of about 400ha (200ha planted) of which half is stretched over the Golden Triangle area of Stellenbosch, internationally recognised for some of the best red wine soil in South Africa Grapes for this wine are harvested from our highest altitude vineyards in the Bottelary Hills. Interestingly enough, it is also the only block of lime stone on any of our properties and our Grandfather decided many years ago to plant Chardonnay to this small patch of land. The nose shows ripe citrus fruit with some toasted almond. The palate more concentrated with stronger nut flavours, some peach notes, but also a lingering mineral finish to it. Well judged oak preserves a butterscotch palate and promote a zesty acidity.

Zonnebloem Sauvignon Blanc

The Coastal region of Stellenbosch is an extremely important wine region in South Africa that can date its history back to the 1600s. The same historic references can be attributed to the Zonnebloem winery who pride themselves on letting the vines to the talking at their own pace. Their fresh and zesty Sauvignon Blanc has a wonderful tropical aromas profile that will entice you into its matching palate of fresh fruit and clean acid.

Warwick First Lady Sauvignon Blanc

When people talk about the ‘history’ of a place, they think of the people who lived there, and the personalities who built it. For Warwick Estate, ‘history’ began when the first title deed was issued for the land in 1771. For almost two hundred years, it was a hugely productive fruit farm that served the Cape’s growing pioneer population. Zest, elegance, flair, and a citric wit. Qualities that apply to our savvy bee and to our current First Lady, CEO Christiane Von Armin. This bottle should be the first lady to exit your picnic basket on any summer outing. Zesty and refreshing with a beautiful balance of cut grass and green figs and passionfruit on the nose. Tropical fruits follow on the palate, pineapple, passionfruit, and ripe guavas leading in to a citrussy fresh palate with a long lingering aftertaste.

Boekenhoutskloof Semillon

Thelema Chardonnay

This wine has a beautiful light straw colour. Aromas of ripe peach, grapefruit marmalade, blossoms and complex yeasty flavours compliment the toasty oak in the wine. Gyles Webb bought Thelema, a charming dilapidated fruit farm, in 1983 with the help of his wifes family. Fruit orchards were pulled out and vines were planted. The manor house was restored and the first wines under the Thelema label were released in 1988. The ripe pure-fruited wines were a revelation to many and it wasnt long before the romantic tale of a run-down old fruit farm became the success story of an avant-garde winery. By the mid 90s Thelemas wines sold out within a month after release, making it one of the most sought-after wine estates in South Africa.
