818 Blanco Tequila
Truly excellent tequila is something worth searching for, savouring, and celebrating. At 818, we bring you tequila from family-owned farms in Jalisco, using only the highest quality ingredients. We believe 818 tastes best when you can enjoy a glass with those you love - so cheers: here’s to the place you call home. Our tequila’s journey starts with the work of skilled jimadores, agave farmers local to the Tequila region. They identify agaves located in the Los Valles region of Tequila, finding optimal conditions for 818 by waiting for at least 7 years for the agaves to reach peak maturity. Taste: Sweet agave and vanilla, with undertones of tropical and citrus fruit. Body & Colour: Brilliant platinum, light body. Aromas: Lemongrass, mild floral elements, chamomile and light minerality. Finish: Ultra smooth with a bright and crispy finish, notes of almond, key lime pie, and toasted coconut. What Makes It Special: Rested in oak barrels for a fresh vanilla roundness.
El Arquero Blanco Tequila
A new tequila venture founded by former Test Cricket Captain, Adam Gilchrist. The brand’s name, El Arquero , is Spanish for “The Archer” and “The Keeper”. “That’s where the cricket reference ends,” Gilchrist says. “I wanted something that could stand on its own two feet... I’m not a brand ambassador, I’m a founder. I wanted to do it properly.” Adamant that the brand isn't about celebrity or fanciful stories, Gilchrist is genuinely interested in quality. “We didn’t want to just slap a label on someone else’s juice,” he says. “We wanted something authentically made, traditionally distilled, and clean as it gets. No additives, no shortcuts.” So he and his team partnered with the Báñuelos family, third-generation masters and original founders of Cazadores. Their Destiladora de Los Altos distillery has been quietly perfecting the art for over half a century. The Blanco is aimed at being accessible without compromising proper tequila character. Seven year old agaves are harvested to create a bright, herbaceous aroma leading to a refreshingly crisp palate. According to Esquire Magazine, "...clarity shows in the liquid. The Blanco leads with roasted pineapple, citrus and white pepper before sliding into notes of vanilla and lemon. A small portion is aged briefly in oak, just enough to take the sting out of the back end." 38% Alc./Vol.
